Recess Reminders

THANK YOU! your assistance in helping with the items below and also reminding and encouraging students to do these things as well...
  • Wait to head outside until the recess supervisors are present.
If you do dismiss early at recess for a reward or other, then you need to accompany students until supervisors are outside.
  • Use the bathroom before coming to the cafeteria for lunch or before they go outside for recess. This helps everyone tremendously!

Holidays!

Thanks so much for being respectful of all students and their families when you planned for Halloween, and even more now with Thanksgiving and Christmas right around the corner. It’s obvious that students enjoy these times of the year, as well as, the exposure to the diversity that our world brings.

Thank you and Staff Thoughts

⭐Emily Gradl and Cassidy VanCamp complete their student teaching with Stacy W. and Trisha this week.  Thank you Emily and Cassidy for your dedication and passion during your time as a student teacher. As educators we are proud to be a part of your journey as you get ready to step into this meaningful career.  Your connection and impact on our students has been inspiring, and we're confident you have a bright future in education. Thank you for your hard work and positive energy.

💓I wanted to take a moment to ask for your support and kind thoughts for Sheri Krueger who is currently dealing with congestive heart failure.  During challenging times like this it makes such a difference for us to come together and offer our support, even if it's in the form of positive thoughts and well wishes. Your care and support can make a significant difference in the journey to better health for Sheri and any colleague on a challenging journey.  If you'd like to help with meals there is an opportunity for that below...

Dear Staff,

Sheri has given us permission to share that she has a condition called congestive heart failure. Right now, her doctors are advising her to slow down as much as possible. While she still intends to teach her music classes, we want to lessen her burden at home. If you are interested, please sign up for the meal train by clicking the link below. Meals can be delivered to NDLC and while Sheri is off of work I will deliver the meals to her house. When she is back to work I will make sure that the meal is placed in her refrigerator for her to take home.

Thank you so much!! Sheri -- we are sending you all the love!!

👍 Carrie Forster's time helping in Hannah Cooksey's leave is quickly coming to an end.  Her lasts days at EQ are Monday-Tuesday, Oct. 30-31 and one final day on Friday, November 3rd. Thank you for helping me express our heartfelt thanks to Carrie for her exceptional contributions as a guest teacher over the past three weeks. Her expertise and ability to step right in has been invaluable.

As Carrie returns to her well deserved retirement, also help me in giving a warm welcome to Jeffrey Laatsch who will be the guest teacher the last four weeks of Hannah's leave beginning Nov. 1. We're excited to have him on board as well and look forward to his contributions.  Welcome Jeffrey!!!!

Thank you all for your continued support and for making these transitions seamless and welcoming.

Gallup Q12

If you have not had a chance yet, please take a quick moment to complete the Gallup Q12 survey.  You will have a link to it in an email sent around 8:00 am on Thursday 10/26/23.  There are only 12 questions with a quick selection for an answer on a 1-5 point scale.  It takes less than 5 minutes and per Gallup these 12 items have proven to be the most effective survey questions to measure employee engagement.  Thank you!

District Wide Food Drive

As the temperature drops and winter draws closer, food and other necessities become essential for many families in our community. To help out those who need it most, Kaukauna's National Honor Society is sponsoring a district-wide food drive to contribute to Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry.

From November 1st through November 21st, we will host a food drive competition between the schools within the Kaukauna Area School District. The school that contributes the most canned goods, non-perishable foods, or monetary donations will not only have the satisfaction of helping their community but will also receive the traveling "Food Drive Trophy" that will be displayed in their school until next November.

National Honor Society is looking forward to your help in a record-breaking food drive to assist the less fortunate members of our community. Please mark your calendars and participate in this friendly competition to help raise money and donations for a great cause.

Thank you for your generosity,
Kaukauna National Honor Society

Yearbook Pictures

Please add any and all classroom pictures to our 23-24 Yearbook Pictures folder. We are always in need of more photos to use in our school yearbook.

Just a reminder to keep in mind the Do Not Publish Picture List when uploading pictures.

Thank you all!
