School Walk Through

On Oct. 31st Autumn and I will be walking through the building with Holly Magness and Mike Schwindenhammer, Eppstein Uhen Architects, as part of an Educational Adequacy Assessment (EAA) Walk Through.  The EAA Walk Through is an assessment that focuses on current educational settings, not possible future solutions for schools. This is part of the investigative steps in Facilities Planning;
Mike shared some of the Facilities Planning details in the October Kaukauna Connection Internal Newsletter sent by Bryanna on Monday, October 16th

PTS Conference Sign-Up -

Staff will present in school for conferences all three dates/times.

Tuesday, Nov. 14 - In Person for Parents
Thursday, Nov. 16 -
In Person for Parents
Friday, Nov. 17 - Virtual for Parents (staff in building)

Ultimately you have been great at showing care and flexibility in meeting families needs the best we can. Those needing to schedule conferences in advance due to needs of collaboration with a specialist, student support plan, and etc. should arrange those now and get them to Shaina Carlson on or before Oct. 31.  The Sign-Up Genius link will be sent to families on November 1st.

Sign ups for teacher access only (let Shaina know if you need any times blocked off): https://www.signupgenius.com/tabs/23677D705AECAEAC60-2324pts#/

Scholastic Book Fair -- NDLC and Quinney conferences are on the same dates this year.  We will hold ONE Scholastic Book Fair in the building (held in the lobby) for both schools to shop together at the fall and spring conferences.  Quinney will host the Fall Scholastic Book Fair and NDLC will host the Spring Scholastic Book Fair.

Oct. 31st - Orange/Black/Favorite Fall Color

#ObserveMe

1.  Enter in at least two half hour blocks (more blocks if you'd like) that a colleague could come in and observe.
2.  Choose two half hour blocks from 10/23 to 12/14 schedule an observation (academic and behavior). Staff may choose to observe over prep time, recess time, or swap a prep with a colleague.
3.  Be sure to include the date you intend to observe and your name when you schedule the observation.  Only one staff sign up per observation time.
4,  Send a Google Calendar invite to the colleague you are observing.
5.  Complete the Oct. - Dec. Take Away Sheet (link to be provided before 10/23) during the observation.
6.  Make a copy share with the teacher you observed.

School Store

We have the video for October's School Store (Stacy will be adding to SeeSaw) as well as the updated menu. If you still need to sign up for time please do so soon. We have parent volunteers and students scheduled to run the store next week Tuesday morning.

District Wide Food Drive

As the temperature drops and winter draws closer, food and other necessities become essential for many families in our community. To help out those who need it most, Kaukauna's National Honor Society is sponsoring a district-wide food drive to contribute to Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry.

From November 1st through November 21st, we will host a food drive competition between the schools within the Kaukauna Area School District. The school that contributes the most canned goods, non-perishable foods, or monetary donations will not only have the satisfaction of helping their community but will also receive the traveling "Food Drive Trophy" that will be displayed in their school until next November.

National Honor Society is looking forward to your help in a record-breaking food drive to assist the less fortunate members of our community. Please mark your calendars and participate in this friendly competition to help raise money and donations for a great cause.

Thank you for your generosity,
Kaukauna National Honor Society

Please add any and all classroom pictures to our 23-24 Yearbook Pictures folder. We are always in need of more photos to use in our school yearbook.

Just a reminder to keep in mind the Do Not Publish Picture List when uploading pictures.

Thank you all!
