Recess Reminders

THANK YOU! your assistance in reminding and encouraging students:
  • This weekend brought some of us some snow.  If/as the snow makes an appearance on school days, thank you for reinforcing with students that they must wear boots (and snow pants) if they are in the snow. The minimum of boots become an issue of both students respecting themselves and our school by staying healthy and keeping the school clean. This will only be as effective as we reinforce. If students do not come dressed for the weather, please call home to have appropriate gear brought to school. If you suspect it is a matter of a family/child not having an item, please work with the health office to acquire the outerwear needed.
  • Wait to head outside until the recess supervisors are present. If you do dismiss early at recess for a reward or other, then you need to accompany students until supervisors are outside.
  • Use the bathroom before coming to the cafeteria for lunch or before they go outside for recess. This helps everyone tremendously!

5th Annual Excellence in Education Shining Star Awards

The Fox Cities Chamber's Excellence in Education Shining Star Awards program recognizes the outstanding contributions of full-time, Pre-K through 16 educators in the Fox Cities region. These awards are given to 10 outstanding educators who have made a positive impact on their communities. Nominate an educator here.
From these 10 award recipients, an Educator of the Year will be chosen and announced the night of the event. This award honors an educator who has demonstrated an outstanding commitment to improving the quality of education in the Fox Cities region and who has an inspiring presence that motivates and influences students, colleagues, and the community.
Nominations close on Wednesday, January 10 at 3 PM. Recipients will be celebrated on March 21, 2024. If you have any questions, email Aimee Herrick at aherrick@foxcc.net.

BASE Team Updates

The November School Store will be happening next week:
PurposeFull People:
For the month of December, our trait of the month will be Empathy. There will be a family letter going home at the start of the month.
November Student of the Month:
  • Add your student's name to the "Student of the Month" spreadsheet. (please see last year's tab at the bottom, so you can try to choose a student who has not already been recognized.)
  • Student of the Month Slide Presentation: Open the Slide presentation and find the slide with your (teacher) name. Please take a few minutes to fill it in with your student of the month. (Shaina will add the student pictures.) Fill in their name and their answers to the 3 sentence starters by Wednesday, November 29th.

PAC Holiday

The EQ PAC would like to provide you with up to $50 to be used in your classroom for classroom Holiday celebrations and/or crafts. We thought this would be a great way to give back to the students and spread a little extra Holiday Cheer. To be reimbursed for your purchases (except sales tax), please submit this form with receipts attached to Shaina by Fri, Dec. 22nd.
**Feel free to join with grade level team members to save time, money, and paperwork if you prefer!

Yearbook Pictures

Please add any and all classroom pictures to our 23-24 Yearbook Pictures folder. We are always in need of more photos to use in our school yearbook.

Just a reminder to keep in mind the Do Not Publish Picture List when uploading pictures.

Thank you all!
